About Me
Maha Awad is an Arab-American TV host and voice actor, producer and Arabic consultant with over 20 years of experience in front of and behind the camera internationally.
As a host, she has Interviewed scholars, artists and celebrities with equal skill and ease in English and Arabic. From discussing complex industry trends and technologies with executives and Advertising Week, to dialoguing and creating humor with celebrities on the red carpet and one-on-one, to moderating and speaking at town hall forums for KPCC, KCRW and the Paley Media center in New York. She was the Middle East’s only Producer and Host to cover the World Music Awards in both Monte Carlo and Las Vegas, and interview artists such as Kanye West, Usher, Celine Dion, and Mariah Carey, as well as travel worldwide for interviews with A-List Arabic and International artists such as Ricky Martin, Shakira, Andrea Bocelli, and Marc Anthony.
As a creative producer, she has handled production projects from start to finish, working
with varied budget levels in many countries worldwide on a wide array of subject matter, with a passion for engaging storytelling.
On the voice over and voice acting front, she has extensive knowledge and expertise in language adaptation and dubbing for the likes of Netflix, Amazon and Disney for over a decade. She was also one of the voices for E! News International’s Arabic daily show broadcast across the Middle East.
Last but not least, as someone who has worked in the industry for decades both in the US and across the Arab world, Maha has acquired the well-developed skill-set to consult on content related to the MENA region and the Muslim world. She has been helping Hollywood studios “get it right” on series, films and ad campaigns for over 10 years, helping with Arabic language and cultural nuances.
